- 1 cup (115 grams) shredded cheddar cheese

For the Topping:
- 1 cup (115 grams) shredded cheddar cheese
- 4 strips bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 2 green onions, sliced
- Sour cream for serving (optional)
Instructions:
Preparing the Meatloaf:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, bread crumbs, eggs, chopped onion, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, milk, salt, pepper, dried thyme, and dried parsley. Mix until well combined.
- Press the meat mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
Making the Mashed Potatoes:
- In a large pot, add the peeled and cubed potatoes. Cover with water and bring to a boil. Cook until the potatoes are tender, about 15-20 minutes.
- Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Add the milk and butter. Mash until smooth and creamy.
- Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Assembling the Casserole:
