1/2 cup unsalted butter, very soft
1 tablespoon grated parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
8 slices white bread
12 slices mozzarella cheese
6 ounces pepperoni
Warm pizza sauce for dipping
Instructions
Start by mixing together the unsalted butter, grated parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and dried Italian seasoning in a medium-sized bowl until smooth. This heavenly mixture will add an incredible flavor to the outside of your sandwich
Next, spread this buttery mixture evenly over one side of each slice of bread. Lay the slices, butter side up, on a sheet tray, ready for assembly.
Over medium-low heat, it’s time to get cooking! Place a piece of bread butter side down in a skillet. Now for the fun part! Layer on a slice of mozzarella cheese, followed by six slices of pepperoni. Add another slice of mozzarella, then lay on six more pepperoni slices, finishing with one last slice of mozzarella. Take another piece of bread and place it butter side up on top of this cheesy pile. Cook until the bottom is a lovely golden brown, about 3-5 minutes. Then, gently flip and let the other side brown until the cheese is melted and gooey. Serve hot, with warm pizza sauce on the side for dipping. Ah, pure bliss
