Ingredients:
Everything that comes standard in making cupcakes
Food coloring
Disposable pastry bags
Cake Pops molds
Step 1:
Prepare the regular cupcake dough and divide it into 3 parts to color in different leopard colors (you can leave one part undyed and color only two parts). The recipe shows a natural dough color, a tan brown color, and a darker chocolate brown color. If you have your own preference for this, go ahead.
Step 2:
The first thing to do is add some light (base) dough color to the cupcake mold. You can do this with a spoon, but since the other two colors need to be added using pastry bags, it will be easier if you use a pastry bag specifically and now.
Step 3:
To make the leopard design – use a pastry bag to make a ring in the light chocolate brown pastry. The cupcakes themselves are small, so you won’t be able to make more than one spot so they don’t blend together, so it’s best not to risk it. Here, when making cakes, you can make a whole leopard print out of different sizes and kinds of spots.
After that, add the next layer of tan color inside the previous one. You don’t have to try to make everything perfectly even and flawless, as leopard spots are more casual and sloppy.
At the end, add a small trace of the dark chocolate color again, this completes the print.
Step 4:
Cover everything with regular batter 1/3 of the way you normally make cupcakes. If you plan to repeat the print several times, you can make different sizes, kinds and shapes of spots, it just may not work any other way.
Step 5:
Bake the cupcakes accordingly with the recipe. After baking, let cool well, and you can cut to make sure you baked the kind of leopard capcake you planned.
After baking, don’t seriously accentuate the decoration on the outside, you can limit yourself to buttercream, since the leopard print inside is a surprise.
