Ingredients for 4 servings:
4 large tomato(s), green
250 ml milk
240 g flour
120 g corn flour
120 g bread crumbs
2 tsp salt
¼ tsp pepper
1 liter oil
Cut the green tomatoes into slices about 1 cm thick. The ends are not used.
Mix the milk and eggs in a bowl with a whisk. Put the flour on a plate. In another deep plate, mix cornmeal, bread crumbs, salt and pepper.
Heat plenty of oil in a deep skillet over medium heat.
Turn the tomato slices on both sides first in the flour, then in the egg and then in the bread crumb mixture. Press them down well.
Place 4 tomato slices at a time in the pan and fry until brown.
Drain tomatoes on paper towels.
