Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups milk
1/4 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
A pinch of salt
Vegetable oil, for frying
Powdered sugar, for dusting
Instructions
Prepare the Batter: In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, and vanilla extract. Gradually mix the wet ingredients into the dry until you get a smooth batter.
Heat the Oil: Pour about 2 inches of oil into a deep skillet or saucepan and heat to 350°F (175°C).
Pipe the Sticks: Transfer the batter into a squeeze bottle or piping bag with a round tip. Once the oil is hot, carefully pipe 4-5 inch strips of batter into the oil.
Fry Until Golden: Fry the sticks for 2-3 minutes, turning halfway, until golden and crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
Dust and Serve: Generously dust the fried sticks with powdered sugar and enjoy warm
