Beef and Broccoli Recipe

Ingredients:

For the meat and marinade:

1 1/2 pounds sliced beef flank steak
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon sugar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 tablespoon low-salt soy sauce
1 tablespoon of water
2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Meal:

1/2 cup (125 ml) low-salt soy sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons flour
1 tablespoon white wine vinegar
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 heads of broccoli

Preparation:

For the meat and marinade:

In a large bowl, mix all ingredients together. Add beef pieces, cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.

For the meal:

In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, flour and white wine vinegar. Mix well. Set aside.
In a large wok, heat 2 tablespoons of oil over high heat. Add broccoli and fry for 2 to 3 minutes. Set broccoli aside.
Reduce heat to medium high. Gently (carefully) add another tablespoon of oil to the pan.
Add the beef with the marinade and half the sauce to the pan. Cook the beef for 4 to 5 minutes, stirring often.
Add the remaining sauce with the broccoli. Mix well and cook for another minute.
Serve hot!
