7 Layer Taco Dip

Ingredients

1 (1 ounce) package taco seasoning mix
1 (16 ounce) can refried beans
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 (16 ounce) container sour cream
1 (16 ounce) jar salsa
1 large tomato, chopped
1 green bell pepper, chopped
1 bunch of green onions, chopped
1 small head of iceberg lettuce, shredded
1 (6 ounce) can sliced black olives, drained
2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese

Instructions

Layer 1 – Refried Beans: Start by mixing the taco seasoning with the refried beans. Spread this flavorful mixture onto a large serving platter or the bottom of a deep dish.

Layer 2 – Cream Cheese Mixture: In a separate bowl, blend together the softened cream cheese and sour cream until smooth. Gently spread this rich concoction over the refried beans.

Layer 3 – Salsa: Take the jar of salsa and spread it evenly over the cream cheese layer, adding a delightful tanginess.

Layer 4 – Vegetables: Next, layer the chopped tomatoes, bell pepper, and green onions over the salsa for a fresh taste.

Layer 5 – Lettuce: Add a generous layer of shredded iceberg lettuce over the vegetables, bringing a nice crunch to each bite.

Layer 6 – Olives: Sprinkle the sliced black olives atop the lettuce, giving your dip a salty finish.

Layer 7 – Cheese: Finally, finish your creation by topping it with the shredded Cheddar cheese, which will melt slightly into the layers below.

Chill: Cover your layered masterpiece and chill it in the refrigerator for at least one hour. This resting time allows the ingredients to mingle, enhancing the flavor.

Serve: Serve this magnificent dip with tortilla chips or your favorite dippers, and watch everyone enjoy it!
